Tidal

Tidal - Emily Snow I loved this book so much!It did start out a bit slow, but I stuck with it and am I glad I did. It's one of the better books I've read lately. It's a really sweet story about a girl finding herself again after some pretty tough things she went through. I liked Willow so much, she's easy to relate to and my heart kept breaking for her. I just wanted to give her a pep talk and hug her. She's strong, despite everything she's determined that the person she was before wouldn't define her now even though it's hard. I was rooting for her to pull through so much. She forms relationships, starts enjoying her life, it was wonderful to read. Inspiring.Emily Snow doesn't miraculously have Willow get over her issues - it's as realistic as it can get, these things take time and that's exactly what she gave Willow.Oh, and she gave her Cooper. I loved the slow reveal of his character, all the little curve-balls the author kept throwing our way. I didn't see any of it coming. He doesn't let anything stand in the way of what he wants. And even though he has a past, he's learned to deal with it. His easy going nature is contagious, and mixed with his compassionate side it's almost unbearable. The author doesn't make up a stupid excuse for the two of them to split so they can find each other again. Both of them know that they are the best for each other and they stick to that. There are no big misunderstandings, no fabricated issues. It felt so real. It was also hot, but that's beside the point because I felt like the story would have done without sex just fine. It was so much more than that.I liked the way it was written. I have no idea if it's a self-published book, but it was a joy reading something properly edited. The characters are interesting, there's more to everyone than it seems at first, Paige and Eric, Willow's parents, Miller. I loved them all. Once it picks up, it's fast paced and I couldn't put it down. It's fairly short but satisfying. I loved the ending, it was so great.I don't even know why I had such high expectations for this, I didn't read [b:Devoured|15981894|Devoured (Devoured, #1)|Emily Snow|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1347063810s/15981894.jpg|21734801], so it's not like I'm familiar with the author. I just felt like it's gonna be good after I read the blurb, and it definitely didn't disappoint.Oh, and the cover is gorgeous.
